Crispy oven-baked tofu tossed in a flavorful orange sauce with ginger, garlic, and aromatic seasonings, served with blanched broccoli and fresh basil.
Cut tofu into pieces and coat with 1 tbsp corn starch, 1/2 tsp chilli flakes, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp salt and pepper mix, and a splash of oil. Mix well.
Cook coated tofu in oven at 180°C for 12 to 15 minutes.
Prepare the sauce by mixing 1/2 orange juice, 1 tbsp soya sauce, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp white pepper, 1 tbsp sweet chilli, 1 tbsp ketchup, 1 tbsp hoisin sauce, and 1 tsp corn starch.
Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan. Once hot, add chopped garlic and ginger.
Add 1/2 tsp chilli flakes and onion slices to the pan.
Add half ladle of water and pour in the sauce mix.
Add 2 tbsp spring onion and bring to a boil.
Add the oven-cooked tofu to the sauce and toss to coat.
Finish with sesame seeds, blanched broccoli, and basil leaves.
